What I'm Musically Addicted to Right Now

Recently, a friend of mine had this song as the song on their MySpace. I have since become completely addicted to the song. Its dirty. Its fun. Its something I need to do karaoke.
One BetterLes ClaypoolOf Whales and Woe(Les Claypool?)5:582006
Best track off the new Les Claypool disk. Insane bassline, lots of saxaphone thanks to Skerek (he's a great compliment to Les's bass.) Lyrically its good too. Only Les could write a song with the first verse about some guy named "Silk Johnson" (I LOVE that name) and have the second verse about Kruschev, Sputnik, and Eisenhower... and have it make sense.

The new Tool CD is stuck to me like gum. Like, extra sugar added gum. This song is the first one on the disc, one of the mid length ones at only 7 minutes, and just flat out amazing. This song goes to show why Maynard and his many bands are my addictions.
Black RainBen HarperBoth Sides of the GunFunk/Folk/Reggae/Rock2:572006
You'd think this song was done by Marvin Gaye or Stevie Wonder in the 1970's. More of an RnB funk sound to it. Plus it has the same political edge many songs of that time had. You realize this at the first line "You left them swimmin for their lives, down in New Orleans..." Just one of many good songs off of the double disc.
A Song For YouWillie Nelson, Ray Charles, and Leon RussellWillie Nelson and Friends: Live and Kickin'Country5:222003
Willie is the greatest country singer ever. He doesn't have the best voice, or the greatest musicianship, but he has the whole package. He can write, sing, and play. This song is off of a disc of his 70th birthday party. Just amazing. Song was written by Leon Russell, who has a voice similar to Bob Dylan. Yeah... The real star of this one though is Ray Charles. He owns this song.
